Our Creative Movement classes are a wonderful way to nurture a child's creativity and imagination while introducing them to the basics of movement. Students will play with exploring music, rhythm, and the exciting concepts of space, time, force, and body movement. They'll develop important skills like strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance—all in a supportive and lively environment. Plus, they'll get a taste of the traditions and discipline of dance, including learning some classical ballet terminology, exercises, and classroom etiquette to prepare for future dance adventures.

Please note, children must be potty trained to join.

Pre-Ballet provides a critical transition from Creative Movement to WABA’s first level of classical ballet training in the Preparatory Program. In two ballet classes per week, foundational ballet techniques will be introduced including barre work and basic ballet terminology. Elements of pantomime, as it relates to classical ballet narration, will also be incorporated in this class. Music, movement, and creativity will be explored in Pre-Ballet to continue to cultivate a love of dance and ensure an efficient transition from Creative Movement to Ballet 1 in our Preparatory Program.

Adult Ballet, while mainly focusing on a beginner to intermediate level of technique, is open to all skill and experience levels. Students will learn the tenets and vocabulary of classical ballet, and combined with stretching and conditioning exercises, develop their flexibility, strength, coordination, and mobility. Knowing busy adult schedules, classes are designed to be accessible to participants wanting to drop-in and register one class at a time, or those seeking consistent training. While keeping a goal in mind of personal growth and challenging yourself, this is a low impact class for those looking to move their bodies to fun music. All backgrounds and bodies are welcome.
